Jose Mourinho refuses to confirm if Eden Hazard will start against West Ham

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho says that he does not know if he will start Eden Hazard against West Ham at the weekend.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has refused to confirm whether Eden Hazard will be handed a place in the starting lineup or the bench for this weekend's match against West Ham United at Upton Park.

The Belgium international was not included in the first XI for last weekend's 2-0 win over Aston Villa, but started in midweek's goalless draw against Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League.

"I don't know [if Hazard will start]," Mourinho told reporters in today's press conference. "He played the last match and played for 90 minutes and he was part of the compact team that kept that clean sheet. I'm happy with his contribution against Dynamo and that's it."

Hazard was named PFA Player of the Year in Chelsea's Premier League title-winning campaign last season, but has struggled to make a significant impact at this stage of the season.
