Chelsea's Jose Mourinho "not worried" about potential result against Barcelona

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho insists that he is "not worried" about the outcome of tomorrow's pre-season friendly against Barcelona in the US.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that his focus is not on the outcome of the game when his side face Barcelona in a pre-season friendly in Washington DC on Wednesday.

The Premier League champions are yet to win a pre-season game as they have lost one and drawn one since jetting out to the United States.

Prior to the Blues' game against Barca at FedEx Field, Mourinho explained that the fixture is more about fitness than to the result.

"I'm not worried with tactical aspects, and I'm not worried with the result," Mourinho told Chelsea's official website. "I'm just worried about the possibility to play at a higher intensity and prepare ourselves for the Premier League.

"I need to give players minutes. I need to give players different experiences, playing with each other and also playing in different positions. It's just about preparation. Obviously nobody likes to lose even in training but if we wanted to win we would choose opponents where we could win easily."

Chelsea will begin the defence of their league title with a clash against Swansea City at Stamford Bridge on August 8.
