Chelsea's Jose Mourinho: 'I went too far with fan criticism'

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho admits that he may have overstepped the mark when he criticised the atmosphere at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has admitted that he may have gone too far when he criticised the team's supporters for not being vocal enough during his side's 2-1 win against Queens Park Rangers.

The Portuguese conceded that he overstepped the mark with his comments, but insisted that he made them because of his love for the club.

"Maybe I go a little bit too far," Sky Sports News quotes Mourinho as as saying. "But I see myself in the stands watching Chelsea and I want to play, I want to help.

"If I'm not a player, I cannot play. If I'm not a coach, I cannot make decisions. If I'm just a fan, what can I do to help? That's just my view.

"This is not, for me, just a job. It is more than that, because it's Chelsea."

Chelsea lead the Premier League by four points after 10 matches this season.
