Jose Mourinho 'had Chelsea handover breakfast with Guus Hiddink'

Jose Mourinho met up with his Chelsea replacement Guus Hiddink for a "handover meeting" over Sunday breakfast.

Jose Mourinho had a breakfast "handover" meeting with Chelsea replacement Guus Hiddink to give his verdict on the squad the Dutchman has inherited.

The one-hour meeting at London's Berkeley Hotel came on Sunday morning, hours before the new interim manager's first visit to Chelsea's Cobham training ground.

During the chat, The Sun reports that Mourinho "offered information" about the players and gave his take on the backroom infrastructure at Stamford Bridge.

Hiddink then made his way to the Blues' training facility in Surrey, where he moved into his new office and met key backroom staff ahead of Monday's first training session in charge.

Although the team were given Sunday off after the 3-1 victory over Sunderland, on-loan striker Radamel Falcao was reportedly at Cobham for a bonus training session to work on match fitness and meet his new manager.

Meanwhile, speculation continues that Mourinho is being lined up to replace Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal, who has reportedly been given two games to save his job.
