Chelsea winger Juan Mata believes that teammate Fernando Torres "deserves to triumph" at the club.
The Spanish striker has come under widespread criticism over a lack of goals after his £50m move from Liverpool a year ago.
"I am happy every time Fernando plays. He is a person who helped me a lot when I arrived and he is still helping me. He deserves to triumph," Mata told Marca.
Mata has scored five goals in 24 appearances for the Blues since his £23.5m move from Valencia over the summer.
