Chelsea winger Juan Mata has warned his teammates not to take any notice of Tottenham Hotspur's recent poor form when the two sides meet at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Harry Redknapp's team are in danger of losing out on Champions League qualification after three defeats in their last six.

"Just because they are going through a tough spell at the moment doesn't mean it will be easy," Mata told Chelsea's official website.

"All good teams go through tough spells. Soon they will start another good spell.

"We just have to make sure it doesn't start tomorrow."

Spurs will be looking for their first win at Chelsea since 1990 when they make the short trip to West London tomorrow.
