Marko Marin is confident that he can earn a place in the starting lineup at Chelsea.

New Chelsea signing Marko Marin has insisted that he can make an impact at Stamford Bridge.

The 23-year-old moved to London from Werder Bremen at the beginning of the transfer window and is currently on tour in America with the rest of the squad.

Despite facing stiff competition for a starting place, Marin is confident that he will be able to hold down a place in the Blues first team.

"I hope I didn't reach [my peak] yet because I am still young and I hope I will improve and show my best at Chelsea," Marin told Sky Sports News.

"If you play and train every day with players of such quality, then if you want to improve you surely can.

"I have to show my qualities and play as well as I can, and if I do this then I am not afraid and I am sure I will play. Nobody has assurances that they will play, but if I do well then of course I will play."

Marin has been joined at the Blues by fellow new boy Eden Hazard.
