Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho: 'Every game is difficult in Premier League'

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says that every game for his team is "difficult" as they sit eight points behind Premier League leaders Manchester City after four games.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has admitted that every game will be "difficult" for his team as they try to successfully defend their Premier League title.

The Blues are already eight points off the pace after four games, as Manchester City top the table with a 100% record so far.

On Saturday, Chelsea will travel to Goodison Park to take on Everton.

"Every game is important," Mourinho told reporters in today's press conference. "We are in the title race, we are. We need points, but every game is difficult.

"Everton is no different. Every team is getting better. Every team has economic power. Every game is more difficult, and every point is more difficult to get. We have lots of respect for our opponents' quality."

Chelsea have recorded just one victory in the top flight so far this season.
