Chelsea's Eden Hazard picks up knock playing for Belgium

Eden Hazard suffers a knock while playing for Belgium, but is reportedly hopeful that he will be fit for Chelsea's match against Tottenham on Saturday.

Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard is reportedly hopeful of being fit for this weekend's Premier League action, despite picking up a knock while playing for Belgium.

The 23-year-old played a part in his nation's 2-2 draw with the Ivory Coast last night, but left the field with a swollen ankle..

"Eden was knocked with virtually his first touch immediately after coming on. His stocking was broken and his ankle was swollen," manager Marc Wilmots is quoted as saying by HLN.Be. "Such things happen in top-level football."

Hazard is said to have stated after the game: "It did hurt, but I think I can play this weekend."

The Blues, who are currently at the top of the Premier League table, will take on Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge this Saturday.
