Guus Hiddink coy on Chelsea return

Guus Hiddink hints that he would be interested in a return to Chelsea should they dismiss manager Jose Mourinho.

Guus Hiddink has hinted that he would be interested in returning to Chelsea should they dismiss current manager Jose Mourinho.

The Blues have made a slow start to the Premier League season, losing five of their opening 10 games, with reports suggesting that the Portuguese coach will lose his job if they are beaten by Liverpool this weekend.

Hiddink, who has been out of work since being sacked as Netherlands boss in May, had a temporary stint as Chelsea boss in 2009, during which time he won the FA Cup.

"Top-class football will always be attractive," The Telegraph quotes 68-year-old Hiddink as saying.

"Lately there have been offers coming my way, but there hasn't been anything I wanted to take up straight away. We'll see – we'll have to wait."

Former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has also been linked with a return to Stamford Bridge, while Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone is said to be on the West London outfit's radar.
