Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has insisted that Blues captain John Terry is still one of the best defenders in the Premier League.
The 34-year-old's future at the club has been called into question after he was substituted at the break during the 3-0 defeat to Manchester City, before being sent off on Sunday in the win at West Bromwich Albion.
Courtois has said that Terry retains the full support of his teammates.
"John is still our main man, our captain," the Belgian told the London Evening Standard.
"He is still at a great level and he shows that as well. There is no problem at all. It was only a few months ago people were saying he'd had his best ever season and that doesn't change suddenly. There are things which have happened so far that have just been bad luck.
"But I still think John is one of the best defenders in the League and I'm happy to have him in front of me. He is really important in the dressing room and in the team. He is a very good captain and leads the team very well."
Terry is suspended for Monday's night match against Crystal Palace.
