Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has claimed that the Premier League is more competitive this season due to the big spending from most of the clubs.
There are just eight points separating ninth-placed Tottenham Hotspur and leaders Arsenal after 12 games, while the bottom half of the table is similarly congested heading into the New Year.
Cech believes that there is little to separate the teams this time around because nearly every side have strengthened.
"The Premier League is the best competition in the world and the top players want to be a part of it," he told Pravo. "They don't only go to the top clubs. Now, they go to all clubs.
"The league is getting more competitive because of that and even the bottom club has a very good team. There is a very small difference between the top sides and bottom sides."
Chelsea are currently four points off the top of the table following Saturday's 3-0 win at West Ham United.
