Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has admitted that the Blues' fixture run-in is "tough" but has insisted that he welcomes every "big game".
The former English champions face Benfica in the quarter-finals of the Champions League tomorrow, three days after the side's goalless draw with Tottenham Hotspur.
"I can't complain about the games coming up because they're the competitions I want to play in, every game here is a big game, so we rest up and look forward to playing football," Cahill told the club's official website.
"At the minute there's not really any need to train, recovery is more important. [Roberto Di Matteo] has used the squad and rotated a few players, but it is tough. The days we got off are important to rest and get fresh for the next game."
Chelsea interim boss Di Matteo recently claimed that the Blues' fixture pileup is "very demanding" on his players.
