Hull City manager Steve Bruce has said that Chelsea blew his team away in the opening 25 minutes of their Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge.
Goals from Oscar and Frank Lampard got manager Jose Mourinho off to a perfect start on his return to Stamford Bridge, although the Tigers managed to shut the Blues out for the remaining 75 minutes.
"They were incredible the first 20, 25 minutes," PA quotes Bruce as saying. "With the 'Special One' (Mourinho) coming back it was always going to be difficult for us.
"We've got many games to play where we won't be playing Chelsea every week, thankfully."
Recent arrivals Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore were left on the bench by Bruce, who explained that a plan has been in the works since pre-season.
"You have to be kind to the players who got you here, and believe it or not we've been trying to work on a system to play against Chelsea for two, three weeks," he added.
Huddlestone and Livermore both came on substitutes in the 59th minute.
