Ryan Bertrand pays tribute to John Terry's 500th game captaining Chelsea

Bertrand hails Terry's captain milestone

Chelsea defender Ryan Bertrand has paid tribute to Blues team captain John Terry's 500-game milestone at the club with a Twitter post.

The 33-year-old skippered the Stamford Bridge outfit for the 500th time in Saturday's 2-1 win away at Crystal Palace.

Bertrand, currently on loan at Southampton, decided to pay tribute to Terry's achievement on social media.

Terry made his Chelsea debut on October 28, 1998 as a late substitute in a League Cup tie against Aston Villa, and wore the armband for the first time as a 21-year-old in 2001.
