Rafael Benitez says that he wants to manage at a club who are in the Champions League next season after his stint as Chelsea manager ended last night in New York.

Outgoing Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez has said that he wants his next job to be at a club who are in the Champions League.

The Spaniard's reign with the Blues came to an end in last night's friendly against Manchester City in New York. City completed a Big Apple double by winning 5-3 last night to add to the 4-3 victory two days earlier.

Benitez is now favourite for the vacant job at Napoli in Serie A. The Azzurri finished second behind Juventus and will be playing in the Champions League next season.

He refused to comment on the rumours but did tell Sky Sports News after last night's match: "I am going to London now.

"I want to be in a top side so that we can play in the Champions League, if that is possible."

Benitez, who led Chelsea to victory in the Europa League this season, has managed in Serie A before with Inter Milan.
