Chelsea interim boss Rafael Benitez concedes that his players were tired during their 1-0 defeat to QPR on Wednesday night.

Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez has admitted that his players were below par during Wednesday night's 1-0 defeat to Queens Park Rangers in the Premier League.

The Blues were stunned by their West London rivals at Stamford Bridge as Benitez rested a number of senior names for the match.

"A lot of things went wrong today," the Spaniard told BBC Sport. "We knew we were playing against the bottom-of-the-table side and we spoke about that. We knew we had to be focused but we did not have the tempo and some players may have been tired."

A fourth defeat of the season has left Chelsea in fourth place in the table.
