On-loan Borussia Dortmund striker Michy Batshuayi says that he has "felt a lot of love" since arriving at the club from Chelsea, which he puts behind his impressive form.

Michy Batshuayi has taken a thinly-veiled dig at Chelsea by admitting that he is thriving on the adulation given to him since arriving at Borussia Dortmund.

The Belgium international will see out the remainder of the campaign at the Westfalenstadion, having been sent on loan after struggling for minutes at his parent club.

Batshuayi already has eight goals in 11 matches for Dortmund, leading to rumours of the move being made permanent at the end of the season.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, the striker claimed that he is now being given a chance to prove himself all over again.

"This is the real Michy!" he said. "Don't ask me about my future. I had a difficult time, and it's good to be back on track. I was very well received by Dortmund, by the whole club.

"I felt a lot of love, a footballer is stronger when he has confidence. I didn't expect to find my efficiency so quickly. This is the real Michy, but I still want more. The fans are unbelievable and the stadium is beautiful. I really never expected to settle so quickly."

Batshuayi, currently on international duty with Belgium, scored 10 goals for Chelsea in all competitions during the first half of 2017-18.
