Andre Villas-Boas believes that Frank Lampard will commit his future to Chelsea.

Andre Villas-Boas has dismissed suggestions that Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is intent on leaving Stamford Bridge.

The 33-year-old has been linked with a move away from the former Premier League champions, with reports claiming that the England international could make a shock switch to rivals Manchester United or choose a change of scenery with a transfer to Major League Soccer.

While speculation has surrounded the former West Ham United midfielder, the Blues' Portuguese boss is confident that Lampard will remain in London.

"[Lampard's] going to be here for sure," said Villas-Boas. "Yes, long-term."

Rumours previously circulated claiming that Lampard couldn't see eye to eye with Villas-Boas following his decision to drop the playmaker to the bench for a number of matches.
