Carlo Ancelotti tips Fabio Borini as the future of Italian football but insists that he has no plans to bring the striker to PSG.

Paris Saint-Germain chief Carlo Ancelotti has confessed his admiration for Fabio Borini and believes that the Roma striker is the future of Italian football.

Ancelotti managed the 20-year-old briefly during his spell as Chelsea boss and has tipped him to feature for Italy at this summer's European Championships.

"Borini is a good kid who plays football very well," Ancelotti told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I knew he would do well in Italy, he has a nose for goal and a speed that few others have. I like his anger, his meanness, his desire to always go first on the ball.

"Fabio is a potential champion. And the fact that (Italy's coach Cesare) Prandelli has already called him is a good sign. I would not be surprised if Borini is called up for the European Championships."

However despite acknowledging Borini's ability, Ancelotti has insisted that he has no plans to bring him to his Ligue 1 table-toppers.

"Why haven't I brought him to PSG? Because he's not for sale, and I think that Fabio will stay in Roma for many years. I wish him a long and successful career," he said.

Borini has netted nine times in 14 league starts for Roma this season.
