Antonio Conte: 'John Terry fit to start in EFL Cup'

Conte: 'Terry fit to start in EFL Cup'

Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte has revealed that John Terry is ready to feature in the EFL Cup clash against West Ham United.

Terry has been an unused substitute in Chelsea's last two fixtures and has not played since suffering an ankle injury against Swansea City on September 11.

However, while insisting that he will not name his team until tomorrow, Conte has suggested that the club captain could play against the Hammers.

The 47-year-old told reporters: "[John Terry] is fit to start. He's in good shape but tomorrow I decide the starting XI.

"John is training very well this week and last week and he's ready."

Terry has made five appearances in all competitions this season.
