Wednesday's Chelsea transfer talk news roundup: Kurt Zouma, Thiago Silva, Dele Alli

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Chelsea on Wednesday, September 30.

The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Chelsea eye possible reinforcements.

The Blues failed to bring in a single player during the January window, despite seeing their transfer ban cut short by FIFA, but have already been busy this summer.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Stamford Bridge.

Wednesday morning's Chelsea transfer talk news roundup:

Chelsea 'prepared to cash in on £36m Kurt Zouma amid Everton, Leicester links'

Chelsea are reportedly ready to cash in on Kurt Zouma this summer amid interest from Everton and Leicester City.

Zouma started Chelsea's opening two league games of the new Premier League campaign, but was absent from the matchday squad entirely at the weekend as Thiago Silva made his Premier League debut.

Frank Lampard also has Andreas Christensen, Fikayo Tomori, Cesar Azpilicueta and Antonio Rudiger as centre-back options, although the latter has also been linked with a move away this summer.

Le 10 Sport reports that the Blues would consider selling Zouma for the right price and value him at around £36m.

Everton and Leicester have both been linked with the Frenchman in their respective searches for defensive reinforcements before the transfer deadline next month.

Zouma spent the 2018-19 season on loan at Everton, and the Toffees are in the market for a new centre-back after Chelsea told them that Tomori was not available.

Leicester have been heavily linked with a move for James Tarkowski too, although Burnley are reluctant to sell one of their star men.

The deadline for domestic transfers to go through is October 16.

Dele Alli 'left out of Tottenham Hotspur squad again for Chelsea clash'

Dele Alli has once again been left out of Tottenham Hotspur's squad for this evening's EFL Cup fourth round clash with Chelsea, according to a report.

The England international was hauled off at half time of their opening Premier League game against Everton and has not been included in the matchday squad for either of their two league games since.

Alli did start against Shkendija in the Europa League last week, but The Telegraph reports that he will again not be involved in any capacity for the London derby with Chelsea at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this evening.

The news plunges the 24-year-old's future at the club into even more doubt, with manager Jose Mourinho having confirmed that he will make wholesale changes for his side's second game in three days - with another to come two days later.

Alli could yet be involved in Thursday's Europa League qualifier against Maccabi Haifa, although his absence against Chelsea increases speculation of a possible move away before Monday's transfer deadline.

French champions Paris Saint-Germain are thought to be interested in the midfielder, but have so far been put off by Tottenham's asking price.
