Klaas-Jan Huntelaar: 'Our gameplan worked'

Klass-Jan Huntelaar hails Schalke's gameplan as they hold Chelsea to a 1-1 draw.

Schalke 04 striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has hailed the side's gameplan as they held Chelsea to a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.

The Netherlands international struck to cancel out Cesc Fabregas's opener, and the Oranje star said that the team executed their tactics well away from home.

"The start wasn't that good, but we picked it up after the [Chelsea] goal. We stayed in the game and we waited for our chances.

"We created some, we could have scored through Julian Draxler, but the most important thing was we kept on fighting, We stayed in the game and took our chances.

"The game was different then [after the equaliser], Chelsea had to come [forward] and we waited for the chances."

Elsewhere in the group, Maribor drew 1-1 with Sporting Lisbon.
