Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo reveals that Didier Drogba's absence in the 0-0 draw at Arsenal was through a knee injury, which could rule him out of Tuesday's Champions League semi-final with Barcelona.

Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo has revealed that Didier Drogba may miss the second leg of their Champions League semi-final with Barcelona on Tuesday because of a knee injury.

The 35-year-old Ivorian netted the only goal in the Blues' 1-0 first-leg win at Stamford Bridge, although he was later criticised for perceived play acting and time-wasting.

Di Matteo opted to rest a number of his key players for the 0-0 draw with Arsenal on Saturday, however the Italian has revealed that Drogba's omission was enforced.

"He's got a problem with his knee," Di Matteo told talkSPORT. "He's injured. We're going to assess all the players tomorrow and Monday to see who is in a physical and mental state to go again on Tuesday."

Barcelona had their La Liga title hopes effectively ended last night with a 2-1 home defeat to Real Madrid.
