Charlton Athletic and Sheffield Wednesday have been unable to find an opener in their match at The Valley.

Sheffield Wednesday are holding Charlton Athletic at half time in their Championship clash at The Valley.

The home crowd were incensed early on when Giles Coke went in late on Dale Stephens, only for the referee to show the midfielder a yellow card.

The Addicks nearly went behind when Anthony Gardner found himself unmarked at the back post, but Cedric Evina was on hand to clear off the line.

Charlton nearly broke the deadlock themselves through Michael Morrison, but his header from four yards out came crashing off the woodwork.

Reda Johnson had a glorious chance to put the visitors in the lead when Ben Hamer spilled the ball, but he fired wide from 12 yards out.
