Rami Gershon nearing Celtic move

Standard Liege defender Rami Gershon has revealed that he is close to completing a move to Celtic.

The 22-year-old Israeli is expected to leave Liege during the January transfer window having played just one game for the club this season.

"I am very happy to be here," Gershon told STV. "I am very excited to have the opportunity to play for Celtic. I just hope that everything will be done tomorrow (Friday) and then I can speak more."

Celtic have a two-week break before they return to Scottish Premier League action against Hearts on January 19.
