Team News: Callum McGregor returns for injury-stricken Celtic

Callum McGregor returns for Celtic

Callum McGregor has returned to the Celtic side for their Europa League tie at home to Ajax after more than two months out with injury.

The midfielder is one of three changes made by Ronny Deila, who has been forced into alterations due to suspensions and injuries.

McGregor has replaced the injured captain Scott Brown, while Kieran Tierney starts instead of Emilio Izaguirre at left-back.

Gary Mackay-Steven has taken the place of Nir Bitton, who is suspended following his red card in the 2-1 loss to Molde three weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Ajax have made two changes to this side that won 5-1 at the weekend.

Mike van der Hoorn has replaced Joel Veltman in defence, while Lasse Schone has come in for the injured Thulani Serero in midfield.

Celtic: Gordon; Lustig, Boyata, Simunovic, Tierney; Rogic; McGregor, Armstrong; Forrest, Griffiths, Mackay-Steven Subs: Bailly, Ambrose, Izaguirre, Allan, Mulgrew, Stokes, Ciftci

Ajax: Cillessen; Tete, Van der Hoorn, Riedewald, Dijks; Schone, Gudelj, Klaassen; Fischer, Milik, Younes Subs: Boer, Van Rhijn, Heitinga, Sanogo, Viergever, Van de Beek, Cerny
