Celtic defender Steven Mouyokolo reveals that he is feeling positive about resuming his career after a serious knee injury.

Celtic defender Steven Mouyokolo believes that he made the right decision in cancelling his contract at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Mouyokolo suffered a serious knee injury on loan at Sochaux in 2012 which has ruled him out for over a year, but after joining Celtic, the Frenchman is ready to make his return to competitive football.

The 26-year-old told the Daily Record: "I cut my contract at Molineux so I could do rehab with my own doctor, physio and surgeon - which the club wouldn't let me do.

"That was a big risk but I think I made the right decision for my career. I have no pain in my knee and it feels okay, so I'm positive about the future."

The former Hull City defender has signed a one-year deal at Celtic Park.
