Craig Noone to miss start of season with groin injury

Noone to miss start of season

Cardiff City manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be without winger Craig Noone for the beginning of the season.

The 26-year-old has been suffering with a recurring groin injury and has not travelled to Austria with the rest of the squad for the pre-season tour.

"We really need to look into it and it looks like it might be a while before we see him," he told reporters.

"He has already lost another week of training, he will lose this week and so he has lost the best part of three or four weeks. I cannot see him being ready for when the league starts."

Noone has made 46 appearances for Cardiff since 2012 and has scored eight goals for the club after joining from Brighton & Hove Albion.
