Nathan Blake calls for Vincent Tan, Malky Mackay resolution

Blake calls for Tan, Mackay resolution

Former Cardiff City striker Nathan Blake has called on owner Vincent Tan and manager Malky Mackay to put aside their recent differences over transfers.

Tan is understood to be "extremely upset" over Mackay wanting to sign three players in the New Year.

The Malaysian businessman believes that the Scot has unfairly raised the expectations of fans because no money is available for new recruits.

However, Blake has urged the pair to hold talks in order to clear up any misunderstanding between them.

"If you want to solve the situation, solve the situation with dialogue," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

"When you look at the situation they've achieved a great deal in a short space of time together, Mr Tan and Malky. If neither party wants to talk or the other party doesn't want to come to the table and sort it out then it's obviously not going to get fixed."

Mackay insisted on Tuesday that he would not be resigning from his role as manager of the club.
