Michael Spillane leaves Cambridge United

Conference side Cambridge United have parted company with Michael Spillane.

The midfielder arrived at the Abbey Stadium during the summer and went on to make 16 appearances for the U's this season.

However, it has been decided by both parties that the 24-year-old will depart with immediate effect.

Meanwhile, Cambridge have also allowed Mitch Austin to extend his loan stint at Lincoln City, with a 24-hour recall clause included in the agreement.
