Joe Riley makes Bury switch

Bury sign full-back Joe Riley from Bolton Wanderers on a deal until 2017.

Bury have completed the signing of full-back Joe Riley from Bolton Wanderers.

The Bolton academy product, 23, has joined the League Two club on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

Riley spent the first half of the season on loan at Oxford United, where he made 28 appearances.

"Joe Riley, who we have been tracking for some time, is another fantastic addition to the group," Bury boss David Flitcroft told the club's official website. "He is both athletic and dynamic and will offer us both great quality and energy in the wide areas of the pitch."

Riley leaves Bolton following a 14-year association with the club.
