Bury have completed the signing of Gareth Roberts following his release by Derby County.
The 35-year-old defender is the club's first arrival since chairman Stewart Day completed his takeover of the League Two outfit at the end of May.
The former Tranmere Rovers and Doncaster Rovers player made 104 appearances in three years with Derby.
He is a former Wales international, winning nine caps between 2000 and 2005.
