Burnley boss Sean Dyche still seeking new signings

Burnley boss Sean Dyche reveals that he still wants to bring in several new faces to his newly-promoted squad before the start of the Premier League season.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche has admitted that he is still looking to add to his squad ahead of the new Premier League season.

The Clarets have already signed Marvin Sordell, Lukas Juktiewicz, Matthew Taylor, Michael Kightly and Steven Reid as they prepare for their return to the top flight.

However, Dyche is adamant that he needs a larger squad to compete in the Premier League and has been frustrated by his side's lack of recent activity.

Dyche told the club's official website: "The challenge is still the numbers game. We are still short on numbers and whereas in the Championship we all know you can go out and activate the loan system, in the Premier League you can't so we definitely need more bodies in.

"I must make it clear that I believe in the group and it's not about replacing them.

"We still want to support the group with more players and we are active in the market in an attempt to do that. It's a little bit frustrating that things haven't quite got there but they are building as we speak and we are hopeful."

Burnley defeated Lancashire rivals Blackpool in their pre-season clash on Saturday.
