Scott Arfield expects Danny Ings to leave Burnley

Burnley midfielder Scott Arfield admits that Danny Ings is likely to leave the club in the summer.

Burnley midfielder Scott Arfield has admitted that he expects Danny Ings to leave the club at the end of the season.

The striker, who has scored 10 goals this term, is out of contract in the summer and has yet to sign a new deal at Turf Moor.

Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United have all been linked with the 23-year-old, who has represented England at Under-21 level.

With reported interest from a number of clubs, Arfield believes that Ings will be on his way out of Burnley in the coming months.

"I think Danny is a fantastic player and he's out of contract this summer so I don't think he is going to be with us next season," he told Sky Sports News.

"Together with Sam Vokes they were on fire last season and really took us to the next level and got us over the line. This season, Vokes has been injured obviously but since he's come back he's been great, but there's no question that Danny will be sorely missed if he moves on."

Ings joined Burnley from Bournemouth in 2011.
