Half-Time Report: Sheffield Wednesday forward Atdhe Nuhiu cancels out David Jones's opener

Striker Atdhe Nuhiu cancels out David Jones's opener for Burnley to ensure that Sheffield Wednesday go into the break all square at Turf Moor.

Striker Atdhe Nuhiu has cancelled out David Jones's opener for Burnley to ensure that Sheffield Wednesday went into the break all square at Turf Moor.

Midfielder Jones gave the Clarets an early lead, curling home a free kick from the edge of the area past debutant Joe Wildsmith in the Wednesday goal after only seven minutes.

However, Austrian Nuhiu brought the Owls back level on the 20-minute mark, heading in Daniel Pudil's cross at the back post.

Both sides then failed to create a golden opportunity to take the lead, although Italian forward Fernando Forestieri, recently signed from Watford, had a penalty appeal turned down for the away side.
