James not offered new contract

Bristol City have reportedly told goalkeeper David James that he will not be offered a new contract.

The former England international has featured 84 times for the Championship outfit since joining in 2010, but he will depart the club in the summer.

It is understood that the 41-year-old will announce his retirement from the game, and pursue a possible coaching role.

Jamie McAllister will also be leaving the club at the end of the season.
