Bristol City have reportedly emerged as the favourites to sign former Cardiff City goalkeeper Tom Heaton.
The 26-year-old was released by Cardiff at the end of the season, and it had been understood that he would complete a move to Watford.
However, a switch to Vicarage Road has seemingly fallen through, and according to Sky Sports News, Bristol City now lead the race.
Heaton made just two league appearances for Cardiff last season.
