Two late goals at Ashton Gate paves the way for a replay

Emmanuel-Thomas goal ensures cup replay

Bristol City have held Championship side Watford to a 1-1 draw after late drama at Ashton Gate.

Watford midfielder Sean Murray looked to have sent his side into the next round with a goal in the 84th minute, though just seconds later Jay Emmanuel-Thomas brought the sides level.

In the first ever FA Cup meeting between the two, both teams failed to create any major opportunities in the first period, and went in all square at the break.

The second half looked to be going the same way, until Murray's right-footed effort beat Bristol City keeper Elliot Parish to open the way for a fourth-round spot for the visitors.

However, Emmanuel-Thomas bagged his 19th goal of the season to bring the teams level and open the way for a replay to decide who will make it into the next round.
