Miranda pleased to return to Brazil duty

Atletico Madrid centre-back Miranda has revealed his delight at returning to the Brazil set-up this season.

The defender was surprisingly left out of his national team squad for this summer's World Cup despite an impressive season for his club.

However, following the appointment of Dunga as Brazil boss, Miranda was recalled to the team.

"I'm happy with the start of the season because I returned to my national team and things are working out well in the team. If things are going well for my team, I'm happy," he told Atletico's official website.

Miranda made his international debut in 2009.
