Luiz misses out on Brazil Olympic spot

Chelsea defender David Luiz has been left out of the Brazil squad as one of three over-age players for this summer's Olympic Games.

Real Madrid's Marcelo has instead been named in the 18-man party with AC Milan's Thiago Silva and Porto's Hulk.

Manchester United defender Rafael da Silva and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro have also been included.

Brazil will take on Great Britain in a friendly in Middlesbrough on Friday, July 20 before the Games start a week later.

Goalkeepers: Rafael Cabral (Santos), Neto (Fiorentina)

Defenders: Alex Sandro (Porto), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Rafael (Manchester United), Danilo (Porto), Thiago Silva (Milan), Bruno Uvini (Sao Paulo), Juan (Inter Milan)

Midfielders: Sandro (Tottenham), Romulo (Spartak Moscow), Ganso (Santos), Oscar (Internacional), Lucas Moura (Sao Paulo)

Strikers: Neymar (Santos), Leandro Damiao (International) Alexandre Pato (AC Milan), Hulk (Porto)
