Bradford to mark final with Valley Parade fire tribute

Bradford City are planning to mark their appearance in the League Cup final by remembering the 56 fans who died in the Valley Parade fire in 1985.

The Bantams play Swansea City in the first showpiece final of the season and the club will have a special message embroidered on their tracksuits as they take to the field.

The stitching will read '56: Always With Us' and fans who are travelling to Wembley will hold a minute's applause in the 56th minute of the game.

Bradford have beaten Premier League sides, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Wigan Athletic en route to the final.
