Bournemouth transfer news: Cherries 'agree' Michele Di Gregorio loan deal with buy option revealed

Bournemouth 'agree' Di Gregorio loan deal with buy option revealed

Bournemouth have reportedly reached an agreement with Juventus over a loan deal for goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio

Cherries boss Marco Rose can call upon Djordje Petrovic, Fraser Forster and Will Dennis as his goalkeeping options.

However, they have been on the lookout for a new goalkeeper who can provide serious competition to the club's current number one, Petrovic.

After identifying Di Gregorio as a viable target, Bournemouth have made swift progress in negotiations with Juventus.

Bournemouth agree Di Gregorio loan deal

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Cherries have agreed a deal to sign the Italian shot-stopper on a season-long loan.

Bournemouth will have the option to convert Di Gregorio's loan switch into a permanent transfer for €14m (£12m).

The Juventus man is expected to travel to England this weekend to complete the final details of his loan move.

Di Gregorio's imminent arrival opens the door for Dennis to seek a fresh loan opportunity after spending the second half of last season with Leyton Orient.

Why are Juventus willing to offload Di Gregorio?

The 29-year-old initially joined Juventus on loan in the summer of 2024 before completing a permanent move in the following year.

Di Gregorio has featured in 84 matches for the Italian giants, including 37 competitive appearances in the 2025-26 campaign.

However, he was not always a guaranteed starter last term and has now fallen out of the pecking order following Guglielmo Vicario's arrival

Juventus are also looking to sign a new backup for the Tottenham Hotspur loanee, which is why they are now ready to offload Di Gregorio and Mattia Perin as part of a revamp of their goalkeeping options.

A move to Bournemouth would see Di Gregorio play his club football outside his homeland for the first time in his career.
