Preview: Fulham vs. Bournemouth

Fulham vs. Bournemouth

Bournemouth could enter the automatic promotion places in the Championship table on Friday night with a win over Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The Cherries ended a run of five league games without a win on Tuesday as they earned a 2-1 victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Eddie Howe's side were given a further boost in their bid to finish in the top two with Derby County's 2-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Meanwhile, struggling Fulham will edge further away from the drop zone if they avoid defeat to Bournemouth on home turf.

Kit Symons's men are currently eight points above the bottom three, though they head into the game at the Cottage on the back of a narrow 1-0 defeat to Watford - their fourth loss in six.

Goals from Brett Pitman and Harry Arter ensured that Bournemouth beat Fulham 2-0 when the sides met at Dean Court back in December.

Lasse Vigen Christensen remains sidelined for the hosts with a hamstring injury, while Scott Parker could be in line for a recall after missing the game with Watford due to a knee problem.

Bournemouth have no fresh injury concerns ahead of their trip to the capital, but Howe is likely to make changes after seeing his team play just four days previously.
