Howe notes 'referee decline' this season

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has claimed that the standard of refereeing has declined this season.

Howe, 36, was left disappointed with the official's decisions during Bournemouth's matches against Leeds United and Watford.

The Cherries boss told BBC Radio Solent: "There has been a noticeable decline in the standard of refereeing this season.

"I have done my bit in terms of speaking to the head of the referees as it's not been good enough."

Bournemouth, who have nine points from eight matches in the Championship, host Wigan Athletic on Saturday.
