Artur Bourc: 'We stuck to our plans'

Artur Boruc claims that Bournemouth's 1-0 win over Chelsea was reward for sticking to their style of play.

Artur Boruc has claimed that Bournemouth were rewarded for persisting with their style of play in the 1-0 victory over Chelsea on Saturday.

Glenn Murray struck late at Stamford Bridge to secure a memorable win as the Cherries climbed out of the relegation zone, and Boruc has praised his teammates for not straying from Eddie Howe's plans during their recent difficult spell.

"Chelsea played well and had a lot of possession, but we were able to go down the other end, take our chance and get a goal," the Polish goalkeeper told reporters.

"We are keen to always try and play our way. That is to keep the ball, pass out from the back and play open, attacking football.

"But it's important as well that we can make it count. We did that today and I am sure that will be most pleasing for all of the lads."

Bournemouth have kept just two clean sheets in the Premier League this season.
