Borussia Monchengladbach have squeezed past Freiburg 1-0 in the Bundesliga.

Raffael's 62nd-minute strike was enough for the home side as they moved into the Champions League places in the division.

Oscar Wendt laid on Raffael and the attacking midfielder turned it home from close range to give Gladbach the points.

Admir Mehmedi had a chance for Freiburg late on, but the chance went begging after the effort flashed wide of the post.
