Roman Weidenfeller: 'Borussia Dortmund can still win title'

Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller says last year's Champions League finalists "can still win titles this season".

Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller believes that his side can still win the Bundesliga, despite sitting in fourth place and 12 points behind leaders Bayern Munich.

The champions also have a game in hand over Dortmund and Jurgen Klopp's side have won only one of their last six league games.

"Surely we can still win titles this season," the 33-year-old told SID. "But we must not neglect to do our homework on competitors. No-one [at Dortmund] can stand to see us finish in fourth.

"We will try to attack the top of the table again, but every year it gets more difficult as other teams gear up around us."

Dortmund's next league game sees them host Augsburg next Saturday.
