Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp in no mood to celebrate departure

Borussia Dortmund's outgoing manager Jurgen Klopp admits that he does not feel like celebrating his exit after losing to Wolfsburg in the DFB-Pokal final.

Borussia Dortmund's outgoing boss Jurgen Klopp has admitted that his side's 3-1 defeat to Wolfsburg in the DFB-Pokal final has soured his leaving party.

The 47-year-old, who is stepping down after a seven-year spell at the helm of the Bundesliga giants, said that he is having a farewell bash, but it will not be a celebration.

"We've grown together over the years, but it wasn't any comfort after the result," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.

"We won't be celebrating the defeat, but there will be a farewell party and I had hoped we'd win to be able to avoid having to qualify for the Europa League, but it's not meant to be."

Dortmund took an early lead in the cup final through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but Luiz Gustavo cancelled out his opener before Kevin De Bruyne put Wolfsburg in front.

Bas Dost added a third to put Dieter Hecking's side out of sight before half time.
