Borussia Dortmund have offered Japanese international Shinji Kagawa a new long-term deal.
The 23-year-old, who is reportedly being tracked by Manchester United and Juventus, will be out of contract at the end of next season.
Dortmund are keen to fend off interest from other clubs by attempting to entice the midfielder into agreeing to fresh terms.
"He is one of our key players and we are determined to keep him. The offer is now up to him," the club's sporting director Michael Zorc told Bild.
Kagawa joined Dortmund from Cerezo Osaka in the summer of 2010.
